Faith on Film: Mary MacKillop's Story Unveiled

The film tells the tale of a true pioneer, Mary MacKillop, Australia's first saint, brought to life through the powerful portrayal of local teen talent, Inglewood's own Bethany Valente.

Amidst a world constantly trying to pass off sin and deceit as the freedom that only Christ can give us, 'Mary MacKillop: Australia's First Saint' serves as a much needed reminder of the importance of faith, service, and the profound influence one individual can have on the world.

Bethany, aged 15, shares that, "...it was a very humbling experience playing the role of a great saint, as it caused me to realise just how imperfect I am and how much more I could be giving myself to God." She then goes on to describe her time on set as "very blessed", and says that it assisted her to "adopt the attitude of life as a constant prayer."

This upcoming film, screened in multiple cinemas all around Australia, gives witness to the transformative journey of this incredible woman whose unwavering commitment to her beliefs, resilience in the face of adversity, and selfless sacrifices, paved the way for a brighter future for all.
